<p><strong>About FMGE exam</strong>: This FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduates examination) is a national-level licensing examination held in India It helps foreign medical graduates to register and work in India as medical practitioners. It will ask 300 marks questions and candidates need to score 50% marks to qualify for the screening test. The National Board of Examination conducts this examination for foreign medical graduates. The latest exam was held on January 12th and the results are expected to be released on 12th Feb this year. On this type of examination after MBBS, after the results are declared, there is no option or fwetueares available to apply for Re-evaluation or rechecking.</p>



<p>After qualifying for this exam, an Indian citizen or OCI can enroll with the National Medical Council (MCI) or State Medical Council of India. Moreover, those who have passed the FMGE exam may also do a rotatory internship to get permanent registration to the MCI or State Medical Council</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">FMGE exam 2025 Cut off or qualifying marks</h3>



<p>To crack this exam or qualify to practice medicine and work in India, exam-appearing candidates need to score 50% marks of 300, i.e. 150 Marks. If a candidate can&#8217;t score this mark, it won&#8217;t be allowed to qualify for practicing medical professional in India. So a student who scored marks above 210 can be called as the good score in this examination.</p>



<h4 class="wp-block-heading">What was the pass percentage of the 2024 FMGE exam?</h4>



<p>In the year 2024, the total pass percentage after the results were announced was 20.19 percent only. If we talk about the highest FMGE passing country then it is Nepal. Note that Nepal follows the same Syllabus as India.</p>

<p>Yes the FMGE exam along with the NEET PG will be replaced by the NeXT exam from this year&#8217;s August 2025 exam.
