After the NEET retest exam results were announced across India, the Bangalore, Karnataka region KEA NEET UGCET (Undergraduate Common Entrance Test) application window opens till July 24, 2026. To get detailed information about what documents are to be verified during counselling, visit the website www.cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea. (KEA.KAR NIC.IN)
This announcement came after the Karnataka Examinations Authority announced the creation of fresh application links for the qualified candidates in the NEET retest exam and for admission to UG medical courses. It further states that candidates who have not submitted earlier can use the new link created.
The KEA executive director, H Prasanna, also stated that for admission, qualified candidate seperate link will be provided for Admission to medical courses via NEET.
The various branches of the UG medical courses include Bachelor of Dental Science BDS, Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medical and Surgery BHMS, Bachelor of Medical and Bachelor in Surgery (MBBS), Ayurvedic (BAMS), BUMS -Unani.
It is to informa also that those candidates who are not residents or domicile of KAranataka must also register on the KEA official portal link and pay the fees, and this candidate is not requred for attending the document verification. But for those candidates who are eligible to claim Minority or NRI seats at St John Medical College, they need to book the slot first and must also attend the document verification day.

When will the DCET first round seat allotment start?
The seat allotment of the Diploma Common Entrance Test starts from 21st July and ends on 24th July 2026, and its final result is expected on 27th July, Prasanna said.
What documents to carry on the Verification day?
For the document verification, candidates need to get a printout copy and carry the NEET UG 12026 Admit card, scorecard, Class 12 marks sheet and certificate, identity card, color passporrt photo.
Has the KEA NEET Counselling started?
The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) NEET counselling starts, and the seat allotment process begins with initial registration. The registration of the candidate for admission document verification is started for UG course admission.

To apply for the KEA Counselling for NEET, follow these tips below
- Visit the KEA official wesbite sand register as a new user
- Fill in the applicoation forum basic details such as NEET UG roll number, email address, mobile number, and date of birth (DOB)
- After filling in the personal details, fill in the domicile status, Class 12 marks details, and category certificate
- After completing all the form fill-up data entry processes, upload your NEET admit card, Class 10 and 12 marks sheet, category certificate, and NEET marks card
- The next step is to pay the application fee via net banking, credit card, or debit card
- Now, in the final step, click on Submit and print a hard copy of the confirmation receipt.
Is KCET a compulsory exam for Medical course admission in Karnataka?
KCET is not compulsory if you have the NEET score for admission to the prescribed medical courses. In case you are nodomicileele of the state, you still need to register on the official portal.
How many seat alloted in Karnataka this year?
For the session 2026-20,27, the total seat capacity has been increased to 15,39; earlier, it was 1300 seats less. Among these seats, 4400 are for government medical colleges and other private colleges in Karnataka.
